I love having routines for my beauty regime. Having set routines is so important when it comes to wellness and looking after your skin, and it is just so exciting to use certain products at the end of a long day. Most of the time, skincare routines are emphasized, but this post takes this idea one step further, applying it to a pampering routine. Pamper routines are not only important for your skin and body, but for your own mindset and emotions too.
I personally know that if I didn't have little face and body rituals at the end of a long day, I would feel very stressed out and unlike myself. Having a pampering session can really help to clear your mind, help you focus on yourself, your well being and health while indulging in some of your favourite beauty products. It really all is about transforming everyday routines into meaningful rituals.
Here are a few tips and tricks for mastering your pamper routine:
I love running a bath for myself at the end of a long work day as I find soaking in the tub completely soothes the body and mind. Adding a bath product such as Lush's Twilight bath bomb will make your bath smell and look wonderful. Whilst in the bath, I like to use a face mask since the bath water will have opened up my pores which makes this the perfect time to use a specialized face product. Depending on whether I need a deep clean or a hydrating product, I'll apply a mask to my face while I relax in the tub.
Whilst in the tub, I also make sure I have a good book and candle next to me. Personally, I feel like my days go by so quickly and having a few hours to slow down and do some relaxing and reading is really nice. I really recommend reading Sofia Amoruso's #GIRLBOSS as it is more than just a biography, as it is in some ways a memoir, a business tips guide, and overall, a very empowering book for female entrepreneurs.
When I'm almost ready to pop out of the bath tub, I'll make sure to give my body some TLC by scrubbing it down with a body scrub. Exfoliation helps with stimulating blood circulation and removing dead cell cells, and the Dead Sea Salt Scrub from The Body Shop does a great job of this as it leaves my skin feel polished and refreshed. After pampering myself, I will, of course, follow up with my skincare and nightly routines and usually take it easy for the rest of the night.
So those are some of the things I do for a pamper night. Again, I think it's really important to take some time to treat yourself and your body, as it's good for the soul overall.
